Three homes in our region are real stand-outs and serious contenders for a big prize from HGTV and Zillow. Above is a shot of a wonderful waterfront porch. It is a Victorian-style house in Rye in the Waterfront + Outdoor Homes category. (The exterior is shown below.)
The Doory Awards 2014 focus on Waterfront + Outdoor, International + Celebrity, Tiny + Urban, Kitchen + Bath, and Historical + What?!” Contenders were selected by real estate agents and the nominees were chosen by the editors of HGTV and Zillow.com, says a video. And those who vote are eligible for a share of $10,000.
Two of the “tiny” homes are also in our region from South Salem and Carmel.
The public gets to vote at the frontdoor website for which house is the best. You tour the homes in each category, find your favorite and then tour another category. The home that gets the most “LOVE IT” clicks will win. The contest is open to all United States residents age 21 or older. Sweepstakes ends at 5 p.m. on June 5.
