A developer seeks approval for a 16-unit residential-retail building at 730 North Ave.
Robert Young of the Young Companies wants to build on a vacant 15,590-square-foot lot next to a McDonald’s restaurant at the intersection with Beechmont Drive.
In 2012 the real estate firm Goodfellow-Ashmore announced that it sold the lot at 730 North Ave. for $955,000 to Michael Breede. The Young-affiliated 730 North LLC bought the property for $1.4 million in March, according to Westchester County land records.
New Rochelle’s zoning board expects to continue its discussion of the proposal on June 3 at 7 p.m.
Young proposes fewer parking spots than required by city code and the proposed entrance to the parking area is narrower than required.
