Darden expects to invest about $8.8 million in the two restaurants and the two restaurants will create approximately 103 full-time equivalent positions with a projected total annual payroll of $2.3 million.
The company outlined its plan in a Feb. 12 application for financial assistance submitted to the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency seeking $336,568 in sales and use tax exemptions on construction materials.
The Yonkers IDA will meet Tuesday to vote on the matter.
Darden expects to begin construction in April, which will create 150 construction jobs. The restaurants are expected to open in the fall.
The restaurant group, whose brands include Red Lobster and the Yard House, owns and operates more than 2,100 restaurants and it employs more than 200,000 people.
