A look inside Ralph Lauren’s Bedford home: Architectural Digest’s September issue has an amazing profile of designer Ralph Lauren, but instead of fashion, writer Brad Goldfarb explores Lauren’s various homes, including a glorious estate in Bedford. Here’s the pool and the pool house, which features 16th-century Belgian pine ceiling beams and a 17th-century French limestone mantel; the lamps are made from 18th-century Chinese vessels. “I came at everything with a sense of how I would want to live,” Lauren told Goldfarb. It’s pretty apparent when you look at where and how he and his family live. The houses are gorgeous in the same way that Lauren’s fashions are, very American, very clean and very vibrant. Even when the family entertains outdoors. Love the chandelier in the trees.
