The annual Forbes 400 ranking of richest Americans is out, and, as always, Westchester County boasts a handful of residents on the list. Here’s our short guide to the who’s who among the county’s elite:
#19: George Soros of Katonah, worth an estimated $20 billion. Heads up his own hedge fund, Soros Fund Management LLC.
#157: Daniel Och of Scarsdale, worth $3.2 billion. He’s in hedge funds, specifically chairman and CEO of Och-Ziff Capital Management Group.
#193: David Rockefeller Sr. of Sleepy Hollow, (right) $2.8 billion. His family made their money old school — aka, oil and banking.
#296: David Gottesman of Rye, worth $1.9 billion. He’s in “investments,” specifically Chief Executive Officer of First Manhattan Co.
#352 (tie): Thomas Secunda, of Croton, worth $1.5 billion. He’s vice chairman of Bloomberg LP.
#352 (tie): Nelson Peltz of Bedford, worth $1.5 billion. He’s an investor and founder of Trian Fund Management.
#371: David Einhorn, founder of Greenlight Capital, a hedge fund. Net worth: $1.4 billion. (His bio doesn’t specify his hometown.)
