A model home and part of a new development in Yonkers is set to be unveiled this weekend. And just to tempt potential buyers the house tour will be coordinated with a barbeque, children’s entertainment and prizes.
The open house is from 11 a.m to 5 p.m. Sunday at 167 Greenvale Ave. On display will be the model home, a 2,300-square-feet, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, garage for $599,000.
Gateway Realty and STH Associates is the developer of the project which wil include seven homes on the dead-end street. There is a proposal to build seven more homes and future plans for 18-20 other homes nearby, said Chirag Shah of Gateway Realty Corp. of New York.
The Homes at Greenvale development is expected to generate more than $200,000 in potential tax revenue for the City of Yonkers and it is a privately-funded $10 million project.
The model will be open for public viewing from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The development is slated to be completed by 2015.
Homebuyers will have their choice of finishes in countertops, flooring and other home accents. Gateway Realty will also offer an interior decorator to guide homebuyers.
