Here’s an only-in-Westchester real estate moment: A private home in Bedford boasts a one of -a-kind pool formed in the shape of a violin. Call it Bedford’s Stradivarius of pools.
Started last year, the pool, which is being built by a music lover, reports Andrew Keenan of Cipriano Landscape Design, was being filled with water today. It is a 1,300-square-foot violin shape, with a perimeter overflow glass tile spa and a custom glass tile pool floor made up of 440,000 individual tiles with custom gradient blend. Here’s a look:
The pool also has fiber optic lights on the pool floor, which can be synchronized to music; underwater speakers and acrylic glass walls for underwater views into adjacent koi pond. The pool has a 2,000 gallon/minute pump that creates a current strong enough to kayak in the pool.
According to Keenan, Rev. Run will be here to film an episode of for his DIY Network Show. (Rev. Run , whose real name is Joseph Simmons is renovating his Jersey mansion for the show so maybe he’s in the market for a new pool!)
Here’s a look at the early stages of the construction and this vista gives you a pretty good idea of the size and scope of this pool. We’ll post more details when we get them and hopefully a photo of the totally completely and filled pool.
