Westchester-based Murphy Brothers Contracting will be inducted into the Business Council of Westchester’s 2013 Hall of Fame Award in the category of Small Business Success. The company was started by Christopher and Sean Murphy in their childhood home in Larchmont in 1979 has grown into one of the Westchester and southern Fairfield (CT) counties’ premier construction companies, known for custom homes,whole home renovations and commercial projects, as well as their own line of custom millwork. The company is headquartered in Mamaroneck, NY, and employs 45 individuals.
Businesses and individuals are nominated by members of the Westchester business community and evaluated according to how the business has demonstrated effective business strategy, their contributions and commitment to the community and their efforts to build a more sustainable business through enforcing green initiatives within their organization.
