This weekend is 2013 REALTOR Nationwide Open House—and the weather is supposed to be dry and sunny in the lower Hudson Valley.
The annual event hosted by the National Association of Realtors is intended to highlight the open house experience which is often a major part of the house buying and selling process. Some do it, some don’t—but everyone has an opinion.
“Potential home buyers rely on open houses to help them find the home of their dreams. During National Open House weekend, buyers can have a greater chance of doing just that. The weekend is organized by state and local Realtor® associations across the country and around the world, uniting Realtors® as they host thousands of open houses while engaging consumers on the benefits of home ownership and bringing buyers and sellers together,” explains the association.
“Open houses are also a great way for potential buyers to get a feel for what is available in their local market,” said 2013 National Association of Realtors® Immediate Past President Moe Veissi, broker-owner of Veissi & Associates Inc., in Miami.
