Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, a leading commercial real estate firm, has expanded its Westchester real estate operation.
Among the company’s new additions are Gregory V. Frisoli and Glenn Walsh, who recently joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank as executive managing directors, and new senior managing director Lawrence (Larry) Ruggieri.
“We continue to make significant hires and bolster our service platform, and are thrilled to have exceptional professionals like Greg, Glenn and Larry on board,” said CEO Barry M. Gosin.
David Falk, NGKF president of the N.Y. Tri-State region, stated, “Their invaluable experience as expert tenant, landlord and corporate advisors is indispensable and hiring such immensely qualified executives is essential as we continue to grow market share in the region.”
The new team brings over five million square feet of leasing agencies with owners such as RPW Group; Heyman Properties; RXR Realty; Simone Development; ProMed Properties; Celestial Capital; Faros Properties; Juster Development Corporation; and AmTrust Realty.
These assignments are a strong addition to the NGKF Westchester/Fairfield office’s established track record of representing some of the most prominent landlords in the region, including Building Land & Technology for a total of 1.4 million square feet in Stamford, Conn., at BLT Financial Centre, 260/292 Long Ridge Road and the proposed Gateway Harbor Point, as well as George Comfort & Sons’ four-building, 676,000-square-foot Centre at Purchase in Westchester County.
“Greg, Glenn and Larry’s impressive client roster speaks speaks volumes with regard to the level of confidence that these landlords have not only in this team, but in the entire platform of services such as valuation and financing options, that NGKF can offer them,” added Mr. Falk.
“We are equally thrilled and energized to be joining Newmark Grubb Knight Frank,” Walsh said. “We relish the opportunities of operating full throttle with NGKF’s dynamic platform and see it as a perfect complement to providing the highest level of service to our clients.”
Gregory V. Frisoli has negotiated several of the Westchester/Fairfield market’s most significant leases and sales deals during his 19-year career. A four-time winner of NAIOP’s Transaction of the Year award and “40 Under 40” honoree, Mr. Frisoli has served as exclusive leasing agent for high-profile buildings in White Plains, Tarrytown, Stamford and Westport, Conn., and represents corporate clients locally and in multi-market transactions, with an additional focus on medical office leasing. He serves as a board member for the Mental Health Association of Westchester and is an active supporter of Make-A-Wish Foundation of Connecticut.
Glenn Walsh has an outstanding 25-year record in Westchester commercial real estate, with an emphasis on corporate and portfolio leasing, as well as property sales, representing both buyers and sellers in the Tarrytown and White Plains areas. Mr. Walsh previously spent six years with the former Newmark & Company Real Estate, a forerunner of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.
Larry Ruggieri has concentrated on tenant and landlord representation, corporate relocations, expansions and consolidations in Westchester for the past 13 years. He is a top producer who has averaged 100 transactions per year for the past five years. Also previously an associate of Newmark and Co., he is on the board of the United Way and an active member of the Make-A-Wish Foundation in Westchester.
As leasing agents for the aforementioned owners, the team has successfully maintained occupancy rates of 90% or higher, ranging from vacant properties to large portfolios. Select tenant representation transactions include: Montefiore Medical Center, Pernod Ricard USA, Diversified Investment Advisors, Sun Products and Kraft Foods. The executives come to NGKF after a long tenure with Cushman & Wakefield.
