The financial services sector is coming back – and they want offices in White Plains.
A new study from Jones Lang LaSalle researcher Erin Patterson has found that the businesses in this field (hedge funds, accountants, etc.) have been requesting the most commercial real estate.
Her report, detailed in the chart below, shows that the financial services industry has been seeking twice the amount of space – about 200,000 square feet – as the next-highest sector since the year began. She notes that it’s an interesting trend, coinciding with a bull market on wall Street, and it’s mainly focused in the downtown White Plains Central Business District.
