In what’s being called the highest single residential sale in the history of Westchester, Houlihan Lawrence has announced that it sold a massive estate ^[1] in Bedford Corners for more than $21 million.

Devonshire was purchased by a foreign buyer, which was not disclosed by the company. While it was last listed for $26.5 million, Devonshire likely went for less, though Houlihan Lawrence says it sold for more than $21 million.

Closed at the end of 2012, the deal marks the biggest transaction ever for Houlihan Lawrence, and the firm represented both the seller and the buyer – making it a double pay day for company.

The past year was full of high-profile real estate sales, but the Devonshire deal appears to more than doubled the second-highest transaction of a similar property:  14 Middle Patent Road in North Castle, which sold in May for $9.3 million.
