Legoland in Yonkers Ridge Hill Center started a contest asking people which local landmarks they would most like to see immortalized in Legos: The fans have spoken and Tarrytown’s Lyndhurst and Grand Central Station are the winners. Let’s see how many small plastic blocks it takes to make this:

Lyndhurst is on the National Register of Historic Places, doubled asĀ “Collinwood” in the “Dark Shadows” television series and early films, and was once home to Gilded Age tycoon, Jay Gould.
Once built in blocks, the two landmarks will be officially included in LEGOLAND Discovery Center Westchester’s MINILAND when it opens on March 29, 2012.
