RYE – The city of Rye appears to be out of options regarding its $6 million purchase of a CVS store next to the municipal building on Boston Post Road.
After leasing it to Lester’s clothing store for a few years, the government is set to put it on the market for almost half the amount they paid for it.

One positive is that in all honesty, Rye is “recession proof” – the residential real estate market has not experienced the collapse that anchored the nation’s Great Recession. The retail market is a direct indicator of the health of the consumer and the homeowner. With Rye still maintaining strong home values, the homeowner (and in effect, the consumer) is still empowered, driving retail in the area. So, for the right tenant or developer, this sale could be a goldmine. While the sales price will likely be sub the 2006-sales price, it could be closer than we think…

I believe that avoiding prepared foods is a first step to lose weight. They will often taste great, but refined foods contain very little nutritional value, making you feed on more in order to have enough energy to get with the day. Should you be constantly consuming these foods, transitioning to grain and other complex carbohydrates will make you to have more vigor while consuming less. Interesting blog post.
